I’m Enyo Dinta. I write across genres because I’ve never quite believed in staying in one lane: literary fiction, essays, poetry, erotica, semi-fiction, and memoir all live under my name, alongside my work as a spoken word artist. 

Writing found me early, and out of necessity. I had a lonely childhood, and diaries became the place where I could say the things I didn’t have anyone to say them to. That habit of writing toward feeling rather than away from it has never really left me. It’s still the engine behind everything I make, whether it’s a poem, a personal essay, or a scene in a novel.

That instinct eventually grew into Vain Intercourse, a spoken-word EP, and later into the Vain Intercourse series, where I explore relationships, the tender ones, the complicated ones, the ones that teach you something you didn’t ask to learn. It’s become one of the throughlines of my work: an ongoing, honest conversation about how we love and fail to love ourselves, and each other well.

Beyond the page and the mic, I founded the Know Well Education Foundation (under my legal name, Dorcas Enyo-ojo Michael), which works to keep students in school and provide puberty education, work that matters to me as much as any piece of writing I’ve published, because it’s rooted in the same belief: that people deserve honest information and a real chance, especially when no one gave it to them early enough.

I live with my cat, Muse, who has strong opinions about my writing schedule and no patience for deadlines.

There’s a lot more coming,  new projects across several of the genres I love, all still shaped by that same original impulse: to turn what’s private into something someone else can recognise in themselves.
